29 weeks!

So it has been quite a while since I updated everyone... sorry! Well the pregnancy has been going well. I am feeling pretty good minus a few backaches. I've had a lot more energy lately and have really been able to get a lot done. We finished the nursery and have gotten everything we need practically. I am excited about my baby shower coming up in January. It will be so nice to see everyone. Alaya has become a VERY active little girl. I joke with Jamar and tell him that she is either gonna be full of energy like him or feisty like me. Maybe both! I go to the dr for my gestational diabetes test tomorrow... not terribly excited about the nasty orange drink or the blood being drawn. oh well... I'll survive! We can't wait for this little angel to get here and we are both getting anxious. Jamar is so excited about having a second little girl and he is so excited about Jamaya getting to meet Alaya as well. We only have a few months to go so I'll try to do better with the updates!

Miss Alaya

We had a dr's appt on Tuesday and got another glimpse of our angel. It was confirmed that she is most definitely a she. Thank goodness because the room is already been painted pink! Jamar and I are so very excited about the little girl we are expecting February 21st. We found out that there is a possibility it could be sooner though. Alaya is already weighing in at 13oz at only 20 weeks so she is quite possibly going to be a big baby! The Dr said she is going to give me another ultrasound at 36 weeks to weigh her and then we will go from there. So I feel safe to say she will still be a February baby though, just maybe a little sooner than the 21st! The room is almost done and more pictures will be posted as soon as they get done. We have just enjoyed a week of Jamaya visiting and it is such a joy to see her be so excited about her baby sister coming. We always have a great time when she is here but it is busy busy busy nonstop. More updates to come!

Moving right along!

Ok, so it's been a month or so since I posted and life is definitely progressing, sometimes whether we want it to or not! I have been pretty stressed with my job lately and have been trying to get back on the bandwagon with trying to be as successful as I want to be. Jamar is really enjoying his job and he is learning the ropes quickly. I am so thankful for this! For him to find a job that he enjoys has been over a year long mission! We do have some exciting news though.... we are expecting our first child together (of course my first, Jamar has a daughter from a previous marriage)!!! We are so very excited and blessed about this upcoming adventure in our lives. My due date is February 21 and everything is looking great so far! We have alot to get ready for but we are up for the challenge! Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we begin on this journey. Some days I know I am difficult to deal with and Jamar does a fantastic job of being a faithful loving husband. We have our ultrasound scheduled for October 6 so hopefully we will be able to share the gender with everyone then. Hope everyone is doing well! We love you guys!

The Wedding

So, I decided to create a blog page for everyone since all may not be on Facebook. Jamar and I had a wonderful wedding on July 5 and it could not have gone better than it did. The rain held off and our friends and family all attended. Of course there were a few that could not be there but we know that they were there in spirit :) The reception was lovely and it was so nice sharing our home with the people we care most about. For many it was the first time they had seen our home so that too was a nice add on. We now have a grand time set before us. It is so great being newlyweds but with that comes the chore of getting things for our life together in order. Slowly but surely it wil all come together and I can not wait to see our lives unfold before our eyes. We care about each other so much and we have so much to look forward to. Please keep us in your prayers and say a special one for Jamar. He began a new job a couple of weeks ago and I really hope it all works out for him. He seems to be acclamating well so that is always a good thing. Thanks to everyone for all of your help and support. We love you!
